Gameplay Time Tracker is able to detect all installed games. Optionally, in case a game is not properly detected, it can be added into the program. All detected games are automatically organized into several categories, according to their genre.

The program's functionality is completely transparent to the user. He only has to play the game like usual and the software will run in the background, gathering information about it. After that, the user can view statistics regarding all the games played or about the most played 10 games. This information can be displayed as a graph, as a chart or as a histogram and includes information about the number of minutes played, the distance traveled by the mouse cursor and so on.

Using the program's settings section, the user can manually add the games that weren't automatically detected by Gameplay Time Tracker. The software is virtually compatible with any game, even the ones that come together with Windows.
